Job Title: Electrophysiology Technologist

About the Role

Magnet Medical is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrophysiology Technologist to join our team. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.

Responsibilities
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation:
    • Ensure all necessary equipment is sterile, functioning, and ready for procedures.
    • Verify patient information and review medical history to ensure all necessary documentation is completed.
    • Assist patients in preparing for procedures, including explaining the process and positioning them correctly.
  • Assisting During Electrophysiology Procedures:
    • Assist electrophysiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures, such as electrophysiology studies (EPS) and catheter ablations.
    • Handle and operate specialized equipment to assist in precise diagnosis and treatment.
    • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes or abnormalities to the physician.
  • Post-Procedure Care and Monitoring:
    • Monitor patients post-procedure for complications, including arrhythmias and bleeding at the insertion site.
    • Provide post-procedure instructions to patients and their families.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
    • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of electrophysiology equipment.
    • Perform routine checks to ensure all equipment is functional before each procedure.
  • Collaboration with Medical Team:
    • Work closely with electrophysiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure smooth and efficient patient care.
  • Patient Education and Support:
    • Educate patients on the electrophysiology procedure and answer any questions to reduce anxiety.
    • Provide emotional support to patients and their families throughout the diagnostic and treatment process.
    Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 1 year experience as an Electrophysiology Technologist.
  • Certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
