Transformative Leadership in Pediatric Critical Care

Children's Hospital Los Angeles seeks a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to lead our multidisciplinary team in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). As a trusted expert in pediatric critical care, you will drive evidence-based practice, advance clinical excellence, and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration.

About Our Team

We are a 36-bed unit across two locations, providing family-centered care for critically ill patients from infancy through young adulthood. Our team utilizes advanced therapies and equipment to care for patients with rare diseases, post-liver and kidney transplants, Level 1 traumas, and complex medical/surgical cases.

Your Role

You will provide clinical leadership and expertise to integrate evidence-based care, advance clinical practice, achieve optimal nurse-sensitive patient outcomes, and facilitate transitions of care. You will collaborate with other work area leaders in supervising unit staff and implementing projects to achieve the goals and objectives of the work area.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of recent PICU experience required
  • Previous supervisory and CNS experience preferred minimum of 1 year
  • CA RN license, CNS certification is required

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive compensation package that recognizes your experience, credentials, and education, alongside a robust benefits program to meet your needs. The estimated salary range for this position is $130,000.00 - $233,875.00 USD per year, based on qualifications and location.
