Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Wound Care Specialist to join our team at Omni Wound Physicians. This is a full-time, on-site role that requires frequent travel within the assigned region.

About the Role:

  • This position involves providing advanced wound care and feeding tube management services to patients in skilled nursing facilities, long-term care settings, and patient homes where permitted.
  • The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care, feeding tube management, or related fields such as Emergency Medicine or Internal Medicine.
  • They will also be required to maintain accurate and complete documentation of all patient interactions and treatments in the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for complex wounds such as diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, and post-surgical wounds.
  2. Administer advanced therapies, including debridement, negative pressure wound therapy, and skin substitutes.
  3. Document wound progression meticulously to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  4. Conduct feeding tube placement, replacement, and maintenance with a focus on patient safety and comfort.
  5. Provide detailed education to patients and caregivers on proper care and troubleshooting.
  6. Collaborate with supervising physicians for imaging-supported or complex feeding tube procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Active, unrestricted PA license in California and/or Texas.
  • NCCPA certification and DEA registration to prescribe controlled substances.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in wound care, feeding tube management, or related fields.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for extensive travel via car.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum.
