Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Virtual Sign Language Interpreter to work with our team at Sunbelt Staffing.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 1+ years of experience as a sign language interpreter and be certified in American Sign Language (ASL).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret spoken language into sign language during live virtual classes and events.
  • Facilitate communication between educators and Deaf or hard of hearing students.
  • Collaborate with teachers to understand lesson plans and student needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
Requirements:
  • Certification as a Sign Language Interpreter.
  • Proven experience interpreting in educational settings.
  • Strong understanding of Deaf culture and communication access needs.
  • Proficiency in technology used for virtual learning.
