We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Correctional Services Specialist to join our team in Coweta County. This role involves providing exceptional support to inmates, maintaining facility security, and ensuring the safety of everyone within the correctional environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the safety and security of inmates and staff by enforcing institutional rules and regulations;
  • Conduct routine security checks, head counts, and contraband searches;
  • Process inmates into custody, search prisoners, and take charge of personal property;
  • Verify release orders, respond to inquiries, and escort inmates to court and other appointments;
  • Supervise inmates during meals, recreation, religious services, and visitation;
  • Administer drug screening, resolve conflicts, and remove unruly inmates as necessary;
  • Answer phone calls, direct and monitor conversations, and respond to radio traffic;
  • Enter accurate information into the computer system, update records, and prepare reports;
  • Supervise special monitoring equipment and ensure compliance with proper operation.
