Job Summary:

As a Technical Applications Specialist at Teledyne FLIR LLC, you will provide entry-level technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance of company products. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs and preparing detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions.

You will serve as the export jurisdiction and classification focal for all cable sites, manage customer interaction for technical communications, and prepare and deliver technical presentations to explain products or services to customers and prospective customers.

This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills to follow tasks through to completion. You will also be responsible for prioritizing multiple functions and tasks, and ensuring that the product application/solution is functioning according to specifications.

Education/Experience:

  • BSME or related engineering degree
  • 1-3 years' experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred)
  • Knowledge of export jurisdiction and classification a plus
  • Microsoft Office programs (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Visio a plus)
