Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our team at Emmons Place, a 146-unit apartment community in Downtown Portland. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working individually or as part of a team, with excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

About the Role

The Maintenance Technician II will be responsible for performing daily upkeep and cleanliness tasks, including repairs, electrical work, carpentry, landscaping, plumbing, and janitorial duties. You will work closely with our team to ensure the building and its surroundings are well-maintained and safe for residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, painting, and janitorial work.
  • Operate equipment such as pressure washers and vacuum cleaners.
  • Lift up to 75 pounds and move heavy objects as needed.
  • Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks.
  • Manage work orders using technology and communicate effectively with colleagues.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in a Maintenance Technician I position or two years of previous maintenance experience, preferably in property management.
  • Motivation, time management, and ability to follow instructions.
  • Intermediate knowledge of landscaping, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, appliance repair, painting, drywall installation and repair, and flooring installation and repair.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand written and verbal communications and directions.

  • FT schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm, with 40 hours contracted weekly.
