Cobb County, GA is seeking a skilled Traffic Engineer to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Traffic Engineer to install and maintain traffic signs and pavement markings in the Cobb County Department of Transportation. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
  • Install and maintain traffic signs and pavement markings in accordance with uniform work zone safety standards.
  • Inspect completed work for proper operation, adherence to work orders, and safety.
  • Perform pre-trip inspection and log recording duties as prescribed by department, County, State and related regulatory standards, policies, procedures and requirements.
  • Retrieve daily work orders, determine number of installations and loads assigned vehicle with signs and other incidental equipment and materials necessary to complete assignments.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by one year of previous experience in safe and effective use of a wide variety of hand-held manual and power trades tools.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Driver's License; must obtain and maintain Flagging Certification within the timeframes established by the department.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary range for this position is $18.58 - $28.79 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. We offer competitive benefits including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
