As a Lifeguard Staff member at the University of New Mexico, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for patrons while enforcing rules and regulations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining patron surveillance of the facility
  • Enforcing rules and regulations effectively
  • Acting immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of an emergency
  • Submitting to post-offer, pre-employment physical examination and medical history check
  • Maintaining Certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training
  • May be required to submit immunization records for review for required vaccines and TB testing

Requirements include:

  • Less than high school
  • Current Certification as Lifeguard by a recognized source of training

This is a staff position with a salary of $15.25 per hour. The University of New Mexico is an equal opportunity employer and requires all regular staff positions to pass a pre-employment background check.
