The Opportunity

ISMG's Sales Division is the heartbeat of the organization, and the work this team does is essential for our continued growth and success.

As a Business Development Manager, you will focus on targeting enterprise organizations within the cybersecurity industry, aiming to understand their unique organizational and marketing needs and position the value of our solution offerings accordingly.

You will be responsible for generating new business leads by conducting in-depth market and territory research, identifying executive-level decision makers within target accounts, engaging prospects through various cold and warm outreach tactics, pre-qualifying opportunities, and initiating the sale cycle by setting appointments for our strategic team to execute and continue driving through the funnel towards closing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop a high-level understanding of ISMG's offerings across business units and a strong base-level knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape to elevate prospecting communication with clients.
  • Identify and secure sales appointments with target customers through diligent and targeted outreach via cold-call, email, and networking tactics.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain positive business relationships with clients.
  • Achieve agreed-upon KPIs, metrics, and performance outcomes within schedule.
  • Execute the initial business development stages of ISMG's integrated sale cycle, including prospecting and account mapping, lead generation and nurturing campaigns, opportunity qualification and appointment setting.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's (preferred) in professional sales, marketing/advertising, or related fields.
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in a business development and/or sales development role targeting new customers within a B2B landscape.
  • Experience targeting C-suite and/or other executive decision makers of enterprise-level organizations, ideally within marketing, branding, or research/content divisions.
  • A marketing background and/or comprehensive knowledge/demonstrated understanding of digital marketing solutions and industry trends.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and a demonstrated ability to establish productive, professional business relationships.
  • Formal training in one or more sales methodologies, such as MEDDIC, Value Selling, Challenger Selling, Sandler, etc.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and CRM practices.
  • Outstanding time management, prioritizing, and organizational skills.
  • Willingness to learn and apply feedback to improve performance.
  • A solution-oriented and results-driven mindset with a desire to make a true impact.
