About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at the University of Miami's Pathology Department. As a key member of our staff, you will provide exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and external facilities, ensuring timely and accurate processing of patient cases.

Job Summary

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively handle complex and unusual problems. You will work closely with our team to provide guidance, support, and training to lower-level customer service staff, while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to University policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist lower-level customer service staff with day-to-day requests, including one-click/UChart registration, grossing, and documentation management.
  • Receive, address, and respond to general inquiries, requests for service/support, and complaints, researching all inquiries to resolve issues or concerns.
  • Provide guidance and training to lower-level customer service staff, promoting a culture of excellence and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate with external facilities, clinicians, and patients, providing information and resolving discrepancies in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in customer service or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer software applications.
  • A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to University policies and procedures.
