Senior Manager of IT Resiliency Testing

CVS Health is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of IT Resiliency Testing to join our team. As a member of the Infrastructure Operations & Service Delivery organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the resiliency testing strategy, managing the operational execution of technology resiliency tests, and overseeing the planning, execution, reporting, and evaluation of resiliency and disaster recovery tests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing Strategy: Develop a comprehensive resiliency testing strategy to ensure the right infrastructure elements are being tested in the most efficient way possible.
  • Test Planning: Oversee the development of resiliency and disaster recovery test plans, including objectives, scope, scenarios, test scripts, and success criteria.
  • Test Schedules: Create and coordinate testing schedules and execution with cross-functional teams, including operations, security, business continuity, and external vendors.
  • Execution: Lead the facilitation and execution of resiliency and disaster recovery tests, simulating various scenarios to validate failover and recovery procedures, RTO, and RPO.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Document test results, observations, and lessons learned, clearly identifying areas of improvement and recommendations for improving the effectiveness of our resiliency posture.
  • Risk Management: Identify and proactively address any risks associated with test plans, scheduled, and execution, and assist in their mitigation to ensure availability and security of our systems and data during testing.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze test results and feedback to identify opportunities for enhancing testing plans, and document actionable remediations that need to be taken to improve resiliency.
  • Communication: Communicate test plans, schedules, progress updates, results, metrics, and findings to stakeholders and senior leadership to foster awareness and confidence in our resiliency and disaster recovery capabilities.
  • Training & Awareness: Provide training and guidance to IT staff on testing procedures, roles, and responsibilities, and raise awareness of the importance of resiliency testing to ensure availability across the technology organization.

Candidates for this position should have at least 5 years of experience in managing and maintaining resiliency strategies, disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution, as well as experience in working with IT infrastructure components, including servers, storage, network devices, and cloud services.

Certifications in disaster recovery planning and related areas are a plus.
