The Susan Horak Group is currently seeking a highly skilled Property Manager to join our team. This role will oversee collections, delinquency, evictions, charge backs, and account audits.

Key Responsibilities
  • Financial Assistance: Assist tenants experiencing financial distress to reach out to rental assistance programs.
  • Collections Management: Oversee collections, delinquency, evictions, charge backs, and account audits.
  • Tenant Support: Coordinate with site managers and other office personnel regarding tenants and the status of delinquency/eviction.
  • Paperwork Processing: Prepare, submit, and execute paperwork to various entities for compensation and possession.
  • Security Deposits: Process security deposit returns.
  • New Owner Setup: Assist in setting up new owners and adding new properties to the property management software.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate digital and written records of all property-related transactions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
  • Tenant Requests: Handle tenant requests and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Policy Development: Develop and implement property management policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective operations. Maintain training materials for typical tasks.
  • Emergency Situations: Attend to emergency situations and resolve them promptly.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Property Management software.
  • Computer Literacy: Competency in using computers and related technologies.
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Education: High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • Experience: Property management, collections, or accounting experience preferred.
Work Environment

This position requires extended periods of sitting, small bursts of standing and walking around the office, repetitive movements such as typing, dialing and speaking on the phone, and stuffing and sealing envelopes, and the ability to focus on multiple different tasks throughout the day.
