Overview

Cook Medical offers a 12-week paid internship experience in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, as part of our Summer Engineering Internship Program. This program provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in our Research and Development teams, working on meaningful projects in the medical device manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize engineering knowledge to produce project deliverables and documents.
  • Adhere to the Quality Management System (QMS) and its processes to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain all training requirements for the position and seek opportunities for continuous development and growth.
  • Work effectively and professionally with various levels of the global organization.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance and adhere to safety requirements.
  • Maintain company quality and quantity standards.
  • Have effective communication skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations.

Qualifications

  • College or University Junior or Senior preferred working towards a bachelor's degree in Engineering (Graduate students also considered).
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Must provide proof of enrollment in an accredited college or university.

Physical Requirements

  • On-site and hybrid positions that work under general office environmental conditions.
  • Sitting for extended periods, utilizing close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc.
  • Personal protective equipment including safety glasses, lab coat, and gloves may be required in some areas associated with this position.
