About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Account Executive Officer to join our National Property team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will be responsible for managing the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability
  • Manage relationships with internal partners and external agents and brokers to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners to market and sell Travelers products
  • Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills
  • Develop and execute agency sales plans and partner with Managing Directors to develop region/group sales plans
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 6-8 years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in National Property
  • Deep knowledge of property-related products, regulatory environment, and local insurance market
  • Deep financial acumen
  • Strong critical thinking skills with ability to analyze information and make timely decisions
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to negotiate in difficult situations
