Job Description

As a Breakfast Attendant at StepStone Hospitality Inc., you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of service and quality in our breakfast buffet. Your primary duties will include receiving, preparing, and presenting all buffet breakfast food items to meet and exceed established product and presentation standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adequate food supplies to serve hotel guests throughout continental breakfast and replenish as necessary.
  • Conduct inventories, initiate orders, and check delivery of all required food and beverage items.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the breakfast buffet area and food pre/storage areas during meal periods.
  • Monitor and maintain food operation to ensure conformance with all required health and sanitation procedures and temperature levels.
  • Develop relationships with guests and promote hotel features and benefits during breakfast to identify new leads.
  • Perform opening, pre-work, and closing duties for breakfast meal periods as required.
  • Ensure food and beverage items are safely stored and secured to avoid theft or pilferage.
  • Comply with all established employee lifting, hazardous materials treatment, and accident reporting procedures.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some prior food service experience and basic knowledge of foods and beverages, service standards, and procedures.
  • Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or valid health/food handler card as required by local or state government agency.
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends.
  • Multi-tasking abilities.
  • Good oral communication skills.
