Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team at Central Texas Rehabilitation Hospital in Austin, TX. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide high-quality patient care and be part of a dynamic healthcare team.
Responsibilities- Provide morning care to patients, including bed bath, shower or whirlpool, oral hygiene, combing hair, back care, changing bed linens, cleaning over bed table and bedside stand, straightening room, and other general care as necessary throughout the day.
- Provide evening care, which includes hands/face washing as needed, oral hygiene, back rubs, peri-care, freshening linen, cleaning over bed tables, straightening room, and other general care as necessary.
- Notify licensed personnel when patients complain of pain.
- Prepare patients for meals, serve and remove food trays, and assist with meals or feed patients if necessary. Distribute drinking water and other nourishments to patients.
- Answer patient call lights, anticipate patients' needs, and make rounds to assigned patients.
- Assist patients with handling personal property, such as dentures, glasses, contact lenses, hearing aids, prosthetic devices, etc.
- Completion of a course for nursing assistants.
- Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
- CPR/BCLS Certification.
- Minimum six months experience in an acute or long-term facility preferred.

The estimated salary for this role is $42,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
