We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Registered Nurse to join our team for a 13-week travel nursing assignment in Erie, Pennsylvania. As a Travel Nurse Across America partner, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.

About the Job:
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced MedSurg RN to work in a dynamic hospital setting. You will be responsible for conducting patient assessments, prioritizing data collection, and performing ongoing assessments and treatments as ordered by a physician. You will also provide education and support to patients' families and participate in discharge planning.
Responsibilities:
- Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during examination and treatment of patient.
- Educates patients on surgical procedures.
- Participates in discharge planning and initiates patient education plan as prescribed by physician.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- BLS certification
- 2 years of recent acute care experience
- Able to stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Able to easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting of patients may require lifting of up to 50 pounds at times
Pay Package:
The pay package for this position includes a guaranteed salary of $1,500 - $2,000 per week, depending on experience, plus tax-free stipend amount to be determined. This is a competitive offer that reflects the high demand for skilled MedSurg RNs in the region.
