Design and Drafting Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Drafting Specialist to join our team at Bridgers & Paxton. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed designs using AutoCAD and Revit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of design layouts, sections, details, and profiles using AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Support multi-disciplinary design teams in the development of coordinated systems drawings.
  • Collaborate with engineers and senior designers on projects.
  • Maintain and organize CAD drawings and project files.
  • Develop and design within a BIM design environment.
  • Collaborate with the internal and external project team to execute the project from concept to completion.
  • Ensure established deadlines are met.

Qualifications:

  • AA in Architectural Drafting & Design (in-progress to achieve an AA. Preferred but not required).
  • 0 to 3 years of experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience with Bluebeam.
  • Proficient in MS Office Products, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Proficient with current releases of drafting software.
  • Strong willingness to learn and adapt to a project's unique and specific requirements.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Experience:

  • Coursework or internship experience in design and drafting.
  • Exposure to Telecommunications, Security, and Audio-Visual systems.
  • Knowledge of commercial construction processes.
  • Member of BICSI.
