Survey Department Lead

FutureRecruit seeks a highly experienced and skilled Survey Project Manager to lead its survey department activities. This is an exceptional opportunity for a professional land surveyor to grow their career with our company.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field, with at least eight years of experience in managing survey projects. They will be proficient in using surveying instruments, software, and methods, and possess excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, tuition assistance, and disability coverage.
Job Description- Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and supervise survey department activities to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Communicate effectively with clients, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to establish project requirements, specifications, and expectations.
- Assist with survey proposals, contracts, budgets, and schedules to ensure smooth project execution.
- Perform complex surveying tasks such as boundary determination and surface modeling, and ensure the quality and accuracy of survey data, calculations, and reports.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Education:
- Professional land surveyor license required (preferable in NC & TN).
- Degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of eight years of experience in surveying and engineering projects.
- Skills:
- Proficient in using surveying instruments, software, and methods.
- Knowledge of relevant codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
