Pharmacist - Medication Safety Specialist

We are a healthcare system that believes in the importance of medication safety. As a Pharmacist - Medication Safety Specialist at OhioHealth, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe use of medications in our hospitals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead medication safety strategy for accountable sites in collaboration with the system medication safety team.
  • Assist in fulfilling team member staffing vacancies when necessary.
  • Facilitate and manage activities of the hospital's Medication Safety Committee.
  • Identify opportunities for proactive change in the medication-use system to improve patient safety.
  • Ensure compliance with national patient safety recommendations and regulatory standards related to safe medication use.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree (Required)
  • Ohio Pharmacists License - Ohio Board of Pharmacy
  • BS or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited institution and a current Ohio pharmacist license.
