Job Summary

Ames Copper Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, processing and updating job orders, maintaining bank balances and reconciliation, and researching discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
  • Process and update job orders, maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Maintain bank balances and reconciliation, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or errors.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation, ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures.
  • Assist with recording journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts in a timely manner.
  • Work collaboratively across functional departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis of financial information, as required, to support business decisions.
  • Assist with monthly and year-end closing process, ensuring accurate and timely completion.
  • Assist with audits, providing support and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • 4-year degree in business or accounting, or a combination of equivalent training and experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office tools.
  • Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and be highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
