Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Nurse - RN Specialist to join our team at Lubbock ISD. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with experience in school health services to make a positive impact on the lives of students and staff.

About the Job

This role involves providing comprehensive nursing services to students, including assessing health status, administering medications, and developing individualized health care plans. You will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and confidential student health records, as well as collaborating with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess student health status and identify acute, chronic, and emergency needs
  • Develop and implement individualized health care plans for students
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student health records
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care
  • Administer medications to students according to district guidelines
  • Provide direct instruction to students in health-related content areas

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited professional nursing education program
  • Valid Registered Nurse License to practice professional nursing in Texas from the State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Minimum of three years nursing experience in community health, hospital environment, physician's office, or school health
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR/AED) Certification
  • Valid Texas Driver's License with driving record that meets the requirements of the District

Salary

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
