Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Staff Development to join our team at Plumas District Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all in-service educational programs to ensure that our staff receives the highest quality training and development opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive in-service education programs to meet the needs of our staff and residents.
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other departments to identify training needs and develop targeted programs.
  • Conduct needs assessments and evaluations to ensure that our education programs are effective and meet regulatory requirements.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external education providers to ensure access to high-quality training and development opportunities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Nursing or related field.
  • Current RN or LPN/LVN license for the state of California.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in nursing education or staff development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
