Job Summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist to join our team on a per diem basis. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing interventional procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform interventional procedures under the direct supervision of a qualified physician and/or Lead IR Technologist.
  • Operate fluoroscopy equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
  • Prepare contrast power injectors and operate them as needed.
  • Validate patient orders and participate in Universal Protocol.
  • Maintain aseptic conditions and follow hospital protocols.
  • Provide technical support to surgeons and radiologists during procedures.
  • Dispose of sharps and syringes according to hospital policy and OSHA regulations.
  • Deliver patient care under the scope of your license and training.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent military training.
  • Two years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting, preferably in interventional procedures.
  • Radiologic Technologist License issued by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health Radiation Control Board.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiology.
  • CPR/BLS certification/training.
Working Conditions

This role requires long hours of standing, exposure to odors, blood, and cramped quarters. You will be required to wear lead protective aprons, thyroid shields, and lead eye protective glasses during procedures.
