Surgical Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Surgical Technologist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist surgeons during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and handling surgical equipment with precision and care.
- Provide accurate reporting to other healthcare personnel and anticipate the needs of the surgical team.
- Identify and respond to emergency situations, recognizing surgical complications and taking corrective measures to ensure expeditious treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to perform complex hybrid cases and provide care for contaminated instruments and supplies.
- Participate in the on-call system for emergency and urgent cases, responding within 30 minutes.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Graduate of an approved school of surgical technology and certified within 6 months of hire or validation of completion of a surgical military training program (Army, Navy or Air Force).
- CPR Certification.
- One (1) year of Operating Room scrub experience preferred.
