Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post Surgical team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and planning patient care with a focus on delivering exceptional patient safety and well-being.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university
- Licensure in the State of Tennessee
- BLS certification within 90 days of hire
- Specialized certifications as required by the unit (e.g., Basic arrhythmia, ACLS)
- The ability to work well under pressure, function independently, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to various settings

Position Summary
This role requires a skilled nurse who can work effectively in a high-pressure environment while ensuring patient safety and well-being. The ideal candidate will have a commitment to community health and exceptional patient care.
Workplace Experience
You will have the opportunity to work in various settings, including adult medical/surgical units, pediatric medical/surgical units, critical care units, oncology units, emergency departments, and telemetry units.
Equipment and Skills Training
You will receive training on standard patient care equipment and be expected to maintain a high level of proficiency in using technology, including the Network Computer System and Omnicell Medication System.
Physical Environment
You will work in a fast-paced environment, requiring prolonged standing and working for up to 12 hours a day. You must be able to lift with assistance up to 250 lbs.
Key Results
Your success in this role will be measured by your ability to:
- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate timeframe
- Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs and developing interventions
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment
- Document accurately and timely
