Job Summary

As a Product Manager at Tesla, you will be responsible for leading the development and commercialization of Megapack's Controls & SCADA offerings. This role requires a strong technical and commercial background, with experience in software product management or development. You will work closely with world-class engineers and professionals to ensure that Megapack's SCADA & controls offerings meet customer needs and are easy to buy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define product vision and strategy for SCADA and software controls
  • Conduct market research, competitive intelligence, and customer feedback to inform product decisions
  • Prioritize and define features on the roadmap by creating business cases & product requirements
  • Develop and drive technical content (manuals, application notes, and marketing collateral) needed by internal and external parties to ensure success of SCADA & controls
  • Act as primary stakeholder for education of critical product features for internal teams, customers, and supporting parties
  • Optimize the overall Megapack offering through techno-economic modeling and assessment of product capabilities
  • Support Sales teams around the world as they contract projects that accelerate the world's adoption of sustainable energy and by managing controls compliance workstreams required to open new markets
Requirements
  • 5-7+ years of experience in software product management or similar
  • Experience with controls solutions for energy storage, hybrid power plants or microgrids is highly desired and/or experience with SCADA
  • Experience with Utilities, IPPs, and large-scale energy developers and their needs for operating assets on the grid
