Job Description

Science Systems & Applications Inc is seeking an experienced professional to support their Finance department. Located in Lanham, MD, the successful candidate will execute all aspects of proposal pricing for business development of federal and commercial opportunities. Key responsibilities include performing estimating and pricing activities for proposal efforts, developing and presenting cost strategies, identifying and mitigating cost-related risks, and leading cost-related shaping activities. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other cost-related functional teams, including Human Resources, Accounting, Contracts, Subcontracts, and Business Development, to support the submission of a fully compliant and compelling pricing response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and present cost strategies for proposal efforts
  • Perform estimating and pricing activities for proposal efforts
  • Identify and mitigate cost-related risks
  • Lead cost-related shaping activities
  • Collaborate with other cost-related functional teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5 years of experience in proposal pricing for business development of federal and commercial opportunities
  • Experience with multi-discipline and cost solutioning for federal government clients
  • Experience developing pricing strategies and business development supporting documentation

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-hundred-million-dollar Aerospace Science, Engineering, and/or Information Technology Proposals
  • Experience with On-Contract (Task Order / CLIN) modification pricing
  • Experience with parametric project management estimating tools
