About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Omaha Children's Hospital. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our surgeons and anesthesiologists in delivering high-quality surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available and in good working condition.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, maintaining a sterile field and adhering to aseptic technique.
  • Participate in time-out and sign-out processes to ensure accurate patient identification and procedure documentation.
  • Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization, and assist with environmental cleaning and case turnovers.
  • Maintain availability of instruments and supplies, and store and stock supplies as needed.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technologist or applicable surgical technologist course of study.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working as a Surgical Technologist, with competency in scrubbing in 2 or more surgical specialties.
  • Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association.
  • Current and valid Surgical Technologist certification (preferred).
