Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled School-Based Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Soliant in Calhoun, GA. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care and support to students with diverse health needs.

About the Role

This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 1+ years of nursing experience. The successful candidate will have a valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Georgia and experience working in a school or pediatric setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and respond to students' health concerns, injuries, and illnesses promptly, providing appropriate care and referrals as needed.
  • Develop and implement individualized healthcare plans for students with specific medical needs, in collaboration with parents/guardians and other healthcare providers.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunization records, health assessments, and documentation of healthcare services provided.
  • Educate students, parents, and staff on health-related topics, including preventive care, hygiene practices, and emergency procedures.

Requirements:

  • Valid Licensed Practical Nurse license in Georgia.
  • Experience working as a nurse in a school, pediatric, or related healthcare setting.
  • Experience with disability accommodations preferred.
  • Strong clinical skills, including first aid, medication administration, and assessment of common childhood illnesses and injuries.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with students, parents, and staff members.
