CRNA Anesthesiologist

Welcome to the role of CRNA Anesthesiologist at West Virginia University Medical Corporation dba University Health Associates. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The CRNA Anesthesiologist will provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing various surgical procedures. This includes administering anesthesia, monitoring patient responses, and collaborating with anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
• Monitor patient responses to anesthesia and inform anesthesiologists of any adverse conditions
• Collaborate with anesthesiologists to develop and implement anesthesia plans
• Provide pre-anesthetic evaluations and select anesthetic agents and techniques
• Perform airway management and insertion of invasive monitoring catheters
• Document patient status in the anesthesia record
• Participate in surgical pause and communicate with the surgical team
• Assist with teaching and evaluation of newly-hired CRNAs and medical students

Requirements:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and APRN (Nurse Anesthetist) in the State of West Virginia
• Board Certified or Recertified by the Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetists
