Job Summary

The Cloud Systems Engineer is a critical role at MasterControl, responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure and systems. This position requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable cloud architectures to support MasterControl's growing business needs.
  • Develop and maintain automation tools to streamline cloud infrastructure management and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of cloud services and applications.
  • Monitor and analyze cloud performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions to optimize system reliability and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of MasterControl's data.
  • Work closely with operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and maintenance of cloud-based systems and applications.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, making recommendations for future-proofing MasterControl's cloud infrastructure.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, with a strong focus on infrastructure and systems engineering.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing scalable cloud architectures.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with cloud-based security tools and technologies, including IAM, encryption, and access control.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including Python, Java, or Go.
  • Experience with cloud-based monitoring and logging tools, including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with hybrid and multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based networking and routing protocols, including TCP, UDP, and HTTP.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Certifications in cloud computing, security, or related fields.
