Are you a skilled professional looking for a challenging role in medical imaging? We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our team at Detroit Medical Center's Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital in Commerce Township, Michigan.
Job OverviewThis is a part-time position with full-time benefits, offering a competitive salary of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience. As a CT Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic CT exams using appropriate imaging equipment, verifying patient identity, and reviewing medical records for appropriateness of exams or procedures.
Responsibilities- Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors such as medications, pregnancy, and psychological indicators.
- Explain procedures to patients, including side effects of pharmaceuticals administered, risks, benefits, alternatives, and follow-up.
- Sets up equipment and acquires appropriate images as per script.
- Reviews images, makes initial observations, documents exceptions from established protocols, and communicates data to radiologists.
- Recognizes and responds to medical emergencies as appropriate.
- Provides physician-prescribed post-care instructions to patients.
- Participates in process improvement activities within radiology practice, including quality of care, patient flow, reject-repeat analysis, and patient satisfaction.
- Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
- Requires one or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
