BMG, a leading manufacturer of thermoforming machines, is seeking an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our team in Beaverton, MI.

As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for assembling complex mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic sub-assemblies, ensuring high-quality products are delivered to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receive job assignments and instructions from supervisors or team leaders
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations
  • Inspect and assemble various machine components, including ovens, rails, stations, frames, hydraulic units, and more
  • Install guards, rails, ovens, and other assemblies, ensuring proper function and safety
  • Mount and plumb hydraulic and pneumatic components, working closely with team members
  • Assemble roll stands and machines according to work orders and prints
  • Perform quality control checks on completed machines, documenting any issues or concerns
  • Prepare machines for shipment, disassembling as required

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or GED
  • Two years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to read blueprints and understand technical drawings
  • Basic math skills and computer literacy
  • Familiarity with hand tools, torque wrenches, hand & power drills, motorized hoists, hand grinders, and pipe threaders
  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
