Job Summary

The Staff Nurse will be responsible for planning and delivering individualized care to our Sisters, following the philosophy of the Daughters of Charity.


They will oversee the care provided by nurse assistants, administer medications and treatments as ordered, and advocate for the Sisters' well-being.


This role requires strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as the ability to react productively to change.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in providing individualized, goal-directed nursing care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and other members of the patient care team.
  • Assist with orientation, instructions/training, and supervision of staff as directed by the Director of Nursing.
  • Cooperate with other staff to achieve departmental objectives and maintain good morale and teamwork.
  • Maintain confidentiality and prudent speech regarding all aspects of the position, especially pertaining to Sister residents' care.
  • Have the ability to react to change productively and handle other essential tasks as needed.
  • Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures, reporting all unsafe activities.
