About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to join our team at Gerber Collision & Glass. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences through the meticulous assessment and quality repair of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and execute repair work, ensuring consistent execution of our WOW plan.
  • Prepare cost estimates for customers and utilize various tools to repair vehicle sections.
  • Hammer out dents, dimples, and other minor body damage, and mix and apply filler resins as needed.
  • Realign car chassis and frames to repair structural damage, and replace or repair glass and windshields as necessary.
  • Replace or repair interior parts, and weld and attach or fit parts into place.
  • Prepare and repaint vehicles with factory-specified paint or agreed-upon equivalent.
  • Inspect vehicles after repair to ensure all work has been executed correctly.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Successful completion of a technical school program or a 3-year apprenticeship as an auto body repairer.
  • Ability to read job orders and work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with other repairers within an auto body shop.
  • Thorough understanding of methods and procedures to repair vehicle bodies.
  • Thorough understanding of how to use tools required for the trade.
