Senior Data Engineer

Job Overview:
A forward-thinking electric utility is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join their Agile team. This role will focus on digitally enabling the company by building data pipelines that drive analytic solutions, generating insights from connected data to advance enterprise decision-making capabilities.
About the Opportunity:
This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. The ability to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business need. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will serve as a subject matter expert in technologies used for our data strategy in the cloud, designing, developing, and optimizing data architecture and pipelines to adhere to ETL principles and business goals.
Skill Requirements:
* Strong knowledge of using Spark for fast imagery and big data processing
* Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, MIS or related field with 10 years of related experience
* Development and tuning on any RDBMS technology (Oracle, SQL Server, Teradata, SingleStore)
Estimated Salary Range: $140,000 - $200,000 per year
