We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Worship Music Coordinator to lead our worship services at LADGOV CORPORATION.

  • We estimate the salary for this position to be around $70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

Job Description

The Senior Worship Music Coordinator will serve as the director and musician for regularly scheduled and special services, ensuring musical selections align with the worship style and Christian seasons. Some key responsibilities include:

  • Discussion and alignment of musical selections: The Senior Worship Music Coordinator will discuss and align musical selections with the Contemporary Worship Service Chaplain and/or the JBER Senior Protestant Chaplain.
  • Conducting rehearsals: The Senior Worship Music Coordinator will conduct weekly choir/worship team rehearsals.
  • Create and manage worship slides: The Senior Worship Music Coordinator will create and manage worship slides, including song titles, credits, copyright notices, and CCLI number.
  • Coordination with the worship team: The Senior Worship Music Coordinator will coordinate with the worship team to adjust the tempo and style to enhance congregational participation.
  • Maintenance of musical equipment: The Senior Worship Music Coordinator will ensure all musical equipment is properly stored and maintained.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, the Senior Worship Music Coordinator must have the following qualifications and skills:

  • Degree in music: A degree in music from an accredited institution is preferred; minimum of four years of experience in a Protestant worship music program may be substituted.
  • Knowledge of Protestant liturgy: Knowledge of Protestant liturgy and contemporary Christian music is required.
  • Able to lead worship: The ability to lead worship while playing an instrument (piano or acoustic guitar) is essential.
  • Previous experience: Previous experience in a Protestant military chapel setting is preferred.
  • Coordination and management: The ability to coordinate music activities and manage all aspects of worship service music is required.
