About the Role

As a Construction Superintendent with Michael Page, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects from start to finish. This includes managing subcontractors, verifying compliance with contract documents, and monitoring production to ensure timely completion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate the activities of subcontractors to ensure compliance with established control, line, and grade.
  • Verify and check subcontractor layout to ensure adherence to established standards.
  • Monitor production rates and record them in a logbook for future scheduling purposes.
  • Prepare and maintain a set of production documents, updating them daily to provide an accurate picture of work in progress.
  • Report any field conditions or issues to the Superintendent.
  • Monitor job progress on-site, ensuring compliance with contract documents and the Quality Control Program.
  • Collaborate with the Superintendent to develop and implement project plans and schedules.
  • Prepare documentation to facilitate the close-out process at the discretion of the Superintendent.
  • Work with and coach field engineers to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years of experience as a Superintendent, with a proven track record of managing projects from start to finish.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or a related field (or relevant experience).
  • Valid MA-CSL certification.
  • Experience working in one of Michael Page's core markets: healthcare, life science, or higher education.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with subcontractors and project team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
