Full-Time Donation Ambassador

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Donation Ambassador to join our team at Goodwill Houston.

About the Role:

• This is a part-time opportunity, approximately 20-30 hours per week.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• The role involves accepting donations from donors, sorting and processing materials according to Goodwill guidelines, and maintaining accurate records of donations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet each donor with a cheerful and pleasant disposition, providing an exceptional customer experience.
• Unload and sort materials in the donation area, adhering to Goodwill guidelines.
• Maintain accurate records of donations and issue completed receipts to all donors.
• Ability to communicate directly with the Transportation Department and participate in online meetings.
• Assist with keeping production supplies available, loading/unloading merchandise and equipment as needed, and ensuring the security and safety of team members and property.

Requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Prior retail sales experience is beneficial.
• The successful candidate must be punctual, have dependable attendance, and maintain an appropriate appearance.
• Reliable transportation is necessary for this role.
