Job Description

This is a Laboratory Supervisor opportunity in Greater New Haven, CT.

Responsibilities:
  • Mastery of Senior Medical Technologist responsibilities
  • Daily laboratory procedures including clinical procedures and monthly wipe tests
  • Overseeing daily operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards
  • Sample storage and data filing
  • Maintaining chemical storage and MSDS documentation
  • Reviewing laboratory reports for accuracy and compliance
  • Leading special projects to enhance laboratory capabilities
  • Managing personnel to ensure a competent team
  • Training and continuing education
  • Hiring and onboarding new employees
  • Ensuring annual training completion
  • Implementing quality control programs
  • Maintaining equipment and supplies
  • Troubleshooting technical issues
  • Overseeing general laboratory housekeeping
  • Supporting research projects
  • Prioritizing laboratory work based on research needs
