Produce Clerk

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Produce Clerk to join our team at Schnucks Markets. As a Produce Clerk, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized produce department, and ensuring that our customers have a positive shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers, answering questions and making recommendations on fresh produce.
• Maintain a clean and organized produce department, including stocking, rotating, and straightening product.
• Water and ice down various products to ensure freshness and quality.
• Wash, trim, and wrap product to prepare for sale.
• Remove any product not meeting company quality standards.
• Read and understand department signs and follow company safety and sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by store management.

Requirements:

• Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
• Minimum of six months employment with Schnucks for internal candidates.
• Good standing with the company and manager approval for internal candidates.

Training:

Training will be provided at store level to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
