Job Summary
We are seeking an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee to join our team. As a trainee, you will participate in a comprehensive 3-month paid training program, where you will learn the skills necessary to become a certified auto glass technician. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently and as part of a team, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Salary and Benefits
The starting salary for this position is $20.75 per hour, increasing to $22.50 per hour after training and certification. In addition to competitive pay, we offer a benefits package valued at over $10,000, including a 401(k) plan with company matching, medical plans, paid time off, holidays, and volunteer days. You will also receive up to $5,250 annually in tuition reimbursement and paid training, along with all the tools and resources needed to be successful.
Key Responsibilities
As an Auto Glass Installation Technician Trainee, your key responsibilities will include:
- Installing and repairing auto glass
- Recalibrating automotive safety systems
- Providing additional services and products
- Studying and passing testing to become a Safelite-certified Technician
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must be 18 years of age or older, possess a valid state-issued driver's license, and be comfortable working outside in various weather conditions. You should also be able to lift up to 35 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, and you must be able to read and write.
