Job Summary

The PT Cashier role at The GIANT Company is a dynamic opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and support the success of our stores. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for scanning and/or entering numbers on the register, lifting and moving goods, making change, and bagging orders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Operate the cash register, handling customer transactions, and making change as needed.
  • Lift and move goods, including stock and merchandise, to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Bag items and put bags into carts, ensuring a smooth and efficient shopping experience for customers.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives, such as restocking returns, replenishing front-end items, and cleaning the store.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be able to communicate and understand company policies and safety regulations.
  • Must meet the ergonomic and physical requirements for this position.
  • Must be able to use, or learn to use, the equipment and tools used to perform this job.
  • Must complete the company introductory (probationary) period of 30 or 60 days.
  • Must be able to perform all job functions safely.
  • Must meet the company performance standards for the job.

Physical Requirements

  • Shift hours: minimum 4-hour shifts or more depending upon business needs.
  • Job cycles: continual maximum.
  • Lift/carry: 50 lbs.
  • Stand 55%, sit 0%, walk 45%.
  • Category IV: lifting, carrying, P/P up to 50 lbs.
  • Max pull static: 20 lbs.
