Job Title: Fire Alarm System Specialist
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Fire Alarm Technician to join our team at HireVenture. As a Fire Alarm System Specialist, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining fire alarm systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- System Installation: Assist with the startup of new fire alarm systems, making necessary adjustments for proper functionality.
- Repairs and Adjustments: Clean, calibrate, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems, ensuring timely repairs that reduce emergency service calls and minimize callbacks.
- System Testing: Program, inspect, test, and adjust systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Safety and Cost Efficiency: Complete all work in a safe manner and within assigned cost limits.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed and ensure compliance with regulations.
Qualifications:
- Licensing: Must hold a valid Fire Alarm Technician license in MA. Additional consideration is given to those licensed in both MA and RI.
- Experience: 5 years prior experience in servicing and installing fire alarm systems.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license required.
- Skills:
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and follow directions with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility in working hours, including participation in an on-call rotation.
Additional Requirements:
- Pass a comprehensive background check.
- Report punctually to assigned job sites and adhere to scheduling directives.
- Maintain, store, and use tools and equipment properly.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent physical activity, including working on ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in various field conditions.
- Ability to sit at a desk or computer for extended periods when necessary.
- Must be able to travel to customer locations regularly.
Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
