About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Physician Assistant to join our team at JAG Physical Therapy. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to work in a dynamic environment, utilizing their clinical skills to deliver exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
  • Collects and records patient care data, including initial evaluation, daily notes, reassessments/progress reports, and discharge plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory agencies and third-party payers.
  • Prepares for evaluations by obtaining patient history, researching unfamiliar diagnoses, and selecting and administering tests and measures.
  • Formulates diagnosis, goals, prognosis, and plan of care based on evaluation results, and establishes treatment plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, patients, and their support systems.
  • Identifies need for consultations, referrals, or modifications to the plan of care, and initiates and completes discharge plans.
  • Provides education/training to patients and their support systems on functional training, therapeutic activities, rehabilitation equipment prescription, and community reintegration.
  • Responsible for treatment, plan of care, exercise prescription, and interventions for patient caseload, including musculoskeletal interventions.
  • Oversees support staff, attends annual JAG Billing and Coding seminar, and promotes JAG in the community through lectures/presentations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree required; Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Licensed Physician Assistant in the state practicing in.
  • Completed state-regulated CEU requirement in the appropriate state (NY, NJ).
  • Valid CPR License.
  • Experience/knowledge with EMR software is preferred.
  • Excellent oral, written communication, and clinical decision-making skills.
  • Strong work ethic and dedication to patient success.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to work as a team member with minimal supervision.
