Overview

Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center/Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA is seeking a highly skilled academic leader to serve as the Program Director of Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant.

About the Position

This is an exciting opportunity for a Board-certified cardiologist with fellowship training in Advanced Heart Failure to join our team. As the Program Director, you will be responsible for leading the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant program, which is a leader in providing advanced, coordinated care for cardiovascular disease in the region.

The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to patient care, medical student and resident education, and research/scholarly activity. They will also possess proven leadership experience in an academic healthcare environment and be eligible for the rank of Associate Professor or higher.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant program
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and quality of care
  • Mentor and educate medical students and residents
  • Conduct research and scholarly activity

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD, DO, or foreign equivalent)
  • Fellowship trained in Advanced Heart Failure
  • Board certification in Cardiovascular Disease
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in General Cardiology and Advanced Heart Failure/Cardiac Transplantation
  • Eligibility for Associate Professor or higher rank

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $450,000 - $550,000 per year, depending on experience. Penn State Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, paid time off, and professional development opportunities.
