Job Summary


EHSAN LAW PLLC is seeking a skilled Immigration Attorney to join our team. As an Immigration Attorney, you will provide exceptional legal services to our diverse clientele, helping them navigate the complexities of US immigration law.


Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct thorough client consultations to assess case needs and develop effective legal strategies.
  • Oversee and mentor legal assistants, ensuring seamless client-related matters.
  • Develop tailored case strategies, guiding clients through the required documentation and information gathering process.
  • Research complex immigration law issues, applying thorough legal analysis to propose innovative solutions.
  • Handle a diverse range of immigration cases, including defensive and affirmative asylum, U visas, T visas, VAWA, waivers, and other humanitarian-based immigration matters.
  • Prepare for and represent clients in immigration court proceedings, including Master Calendar hearings, Individual hearings, Motions to Reopen, and other removal-related hearings.
  • Draft, review, and file timely briefs, motions, and written pleadings, supported by comprehensive legal research.
  • Provide regular timely case updates to clients, ensuring clarity and responsiveness throughout the legal process.
  • Lead weekly team meetings to coordinate case strategies, provide updates, and train support staff.

Requirements



  • Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in removal proceedings, humanitarian, and family-based immigration as a licensed attorney.
  • Proficiency in legal research software, particularly Lexis and Westlaw.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication, and research skills.
  • Highly detail-oriented, with the ability to manage deadlines and work independently under pressure.
  • Strong client service orientation, demonstrating empathy and professionalism.
  • Admission to practice law in the United States in good standing.
  • References from previous employers verifying expertise and reliability.
