Job SummaryThe Project Coordinator will play a crucial role in the execution of MASSDOT projects. This position will ensure accurate material quantities and availability, review logs for field employees, and assist project managers/superintendents with project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Review plans and technical documents to understand project scope and timing.
- Monitor costs and project progress.
- Maintain control of project documentation and update project records.
- Create, manage, and track RFIs and submittals from the field to the architect/engineer of record.
- Assist project managers/superintendents in creating and distributing project schedules.
- Coordinate project change-order management, creation, and negotiation.
- Conduct and document weekly project owner meetings/decisions.
- Assist project teams with site safety and environmental documentation and coordination.
- Manage and assign CBYD Tickets.
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual with 1-3 years of construction experience. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of construction operations and specifications, analytical and problem-solving skills, and a bachelor's degree or relevant experience. Proficient computer skills and excellent organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills are also essential.
Work EnvironmentThis position is located in a construction environment and requires heavy work, including moving objects up to 50 lb. or more. The position works on or near moving mechanical parts and loud equipment, and requires the ability to sit or stand for long periods of time, as well as lifting, pulling, bending, kneeling, squatting, climbing, walking, reaching, driving, and repetitive motion.
